Camp Owen J. Brorein - Climbing Tower - old

This reservation is for the location only and NOT staffing.  On the date reserved, your unit must have the properly trained volunteers to open the climbing area as defined by the current BSA Climbing guidelines.  The volunteer's credentials must be provided to the ranger or camp master to check out the equipment and open the climbing area.  All relevant BSA safety standards must be followed so your unit may need multiple trained volunteers to open a climbing area depending upon the activity and number of participants.  Equipment that is damaged outside of normal wear and tear will result in a replacement fee being assess to the unit.

Getting My Leaders Trained

Climbing Trainings are offered several times a year.  Please check the calendar at https://tampabayscouting.org/calendar for the current schedule.  For best results, open filter and select training.  Then press apply filter.  The List view shows everything at once.

I Will Need Climbing Staff

If you need climbing staff for your event, please contact your District Executive to find nearby units that may be able to help.

Please check-in with the campmaster or ranger upon arrival.  If your group is utilizing program facilities, please provide the appropriate credentials at that time.

Please refer to the Facility Use and Cleaning Policy for further instructions about rules during your rental and cleaning the facility for return of your security deposit. Please check-out with the caretaker

The Greater Tampa Bay Area Council does NOT offer refunds on camping reservations.

In the event we issue a credit, that credit is valid for future camp reservations.
