The Frank Childress Scout Reservation (FSCR), located near Diamond, Missouri, sits on 180 acres. It is complete with a year-round multipurpose building that can be utilized by Scouts and Scouters for training and fellowship. The camp includes campsites named after the characters of Rudyard Kipling’s “Jungle Book”, a large swimming pool, dining hall, Pirate Ship, Old West Fort, Old Mine, Indian Village, and a stocked trout pond for fishing. FCSR is also home to many hiking and biking trails, and abounds with native plant and animal life. Packs and Troops can utilize the camp’s facilities year-round. Cub Scouts can stay in teepees, fish the trout pond, check out the mine and pan for gold and a lot of other outdoor fun and adventure. The Fort and Pirate Ship are also open and available for exploration. FCSR will be winterized and you will not have access to the pool, swimming pool or dining hall as of 11/09/2022 until we are safely free from freezing temperatures.
