Camp Use Policy Back to Top

1. The Scout Oath and Law will be the basis for personal conduct by ALL persons using the facilities.

2. Twenty-one (21) year old leadership must be present with the unit at all times. A second leader, age 18 or older, must also be present. Youth Protection rules will be strictly enforced.


3. No liquid fuel including charcoal lighter is to be used for starting fires.

4. NO ROCK CLIMBING/RAPPELLING permitted without permission from the Camp Administration, anyone found on or near rock or cliffs will be sent home.

5. No alcohol, firearms, including air rifles or pistols, are allowed. Fire crackers or fireworks (including sparklers) are also prohibited.

6. Pets are not allowed in camp.

7. The Boy Scouts of America prohibits the use of alcoholic beverages and controlled substances at encampments or activities on property owned and/or operated by the Boy Scouts of America, or at any activity involving participation of youth members. Adult leaders should support the attitude that young adults are better off without tobacco and may not allow the use of tobacco products at any BSA activity involving youth participants. All Scouting functions, meetings, and activities should be conducted on a smoke-free basis, with smoking areas located away from all participants. No smoking in any building on any council property.

8. All cars and trucks must be parked and unloaded in the designated parking areas. All types of camping vehicles must be parked according to instructions of the Camp Ranger.

9. For safety reasons, vehicles need to remain in designated parking areas outside of camp. Exceptions may be made for those with handicapped placards with approval of the Camp Administration.

10. Leave your campsite cleaner and in better shape than you found it. Remember, someone will be leaving a campsite for you. All fires are to be started only in established fire rings.

All units must check in and out of camp with either the Camp Director or Camp Ranger on duty. Please text or call Chris Legg or email at chris.legg@scouting.org.  Your group will not be able to camp without a paid camping reservation and access code. Payments can be made online 24/7 through the same camping reservation system you used to reserve your spot. CAMP IS CURRENTLY WINTERIZED SO PLEASE PLAN ACOORDINGLY FOR WATER NEEDS.
