Camp Use Policy Back to Top
  1. Reservations can be made ONLY through the Crater Lake Council Online Event System.
  2. Non-CLC groups shall name Crater Lake Council as an additional insured under their liability insurance for the time they are using the camp. Certificate of insurance showing primary for activities shall be provided to the Crater Lake Council office thirty (30) days prior to event or registration. The certificate must state that the limits of liability are at least $2,000,000 combined single limit. A hold harmless agreement is also required thirty (30) days prior to event.
  3. A damage deposit of $200 is required for any rental of facilities/buildings and a $100 damage deposit is required for campsites. The deposit will be refunded by the Crater Lake Council office within fifteen (15) days of receiving the Camp Ranger report after final camping if no damage is reported.
  4. Renters are RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGE over the deposit amount and will be billed for repair or replacement.
  5. There is a $200 day minimum for Non-Scout Groups.
  6. Upon arrival, the group leader MUST CHECK IN with the Camp Ranger and provide a Group Roster.
  7. All rental groups are expected to clean up. The group leader MUST CHECK OUT with the Camp Ranger or Host before leaving camp. Check out time is no later than 1:00 PM.
  8. All vehicles must remain in designated parking lot.
  9. No standing timber is to be cut without permission.
  10. No conifers or brush is to be cut without permission.
  11. No swimming/boating in the lake is permitted without Safe Swim Defense and Safety Afloat.
  12. All fires must be in designated burn areas in campsites and supervised at all times. Ensure that fire equipment (shovel/rake/water) is present, and that fire is out cold at night and before leaving. Please keep all open flames using charcoal at a minimum of 10 feet from any structure. ALL fires must be put out with water before leaving camp.
  13. All garbage is to be taken out of camp unless otherwise stated by the Camp Ranger or Host at check-in.
  14. No dishwashing at water taps.
  15. NO PERSONAL WEAPONS (including air soft, paint, or pellet guns) of any type are allowed in camp.
  16. NO SMOKING IS ALLOWED ON CAMP PROPERTY.
  17. Obey all camp speed limits. 5 MPH is the limit on all roads.
  18. ABSOLUTELY NO PETS ARE ALLOWED TO BE BROUGHT ONTO COUNCIL PROPERTY.
  19. Be courteous and "Do A Good Turn" by doing a service project. The project must be approved by the Camp Ranger.

FULL FEES ARE DUE THIRTY (30) DAYS BEFORE YOUR EVENT.

A 20% DEPOSIT MUST BE MADE AT TIME OF RESERVATION ALONG WITH THE DAMAGE DEPOSIT.
