Camp Horseshoe - Horseshoe Rifle Range

Notice: This facility is only available to members of the following unit types: Crew, Troop
  • 8 shooting spaces
  • We provide the rifles, ammo, and safety equipment. You are NOT permitted to bring firearms or ammunition. 
  • PAY WHILE AT CAMP at the trading post
  • $10 charge per returned uncleaned rifle
  • Rifle pricing
  • Units will need to provide their own currently certified instructors for the rifle range. Approved instructor certifications are: BSA National Camp Shooting Sports Director or NRA Certified Rifle Instructor. All rifle-shooting activities must also have a certified NRA Range Safety Officer (RSO) directly supervising all live fire on the range. THESE MUST BE TWO SEPARATE INDIVIDUALS. 
    • Instructors must present a copy of their credentials prior to range usage.

When arriving, check in with the Campmaster in the Headquarters building. They will ask for your unit roster and a schedule of your weekend plans.

A check-out time will be scheduled with the Campmaster at the Friday evening Cracker barrel. 

Cancellation Policy Back to Top

Should it become necessary for a unit to cancel a reservation, the following fee refund schedule will apply. The effective dates which will be utilized to determined the amount to be refunded are the date the reservation was received and the date that the Chester County Council was notified of the cancellation.
