Facility Use Policy Back to Top

Tables and Chairs setup is the responsibility of the user.  Floors must be swept and at least spot mopped where needed.  Bathroom must be cleaned after the event by the user.  Any kitchen equipment used must be cleaned and put back in the correct location.  Trash must be emptied into the dumpsters and clean bags placed inside the trash barrel.  If you are using the AV equipment, you must be trained by the Camp Ranger or designee and we suggest you do that several days before your event to ensure everything works.  Please contact the Camp Ranger at 806-679-9617 to arrange training.

Camp Use Policy Back to Top

Cub Scout Packs can only campout 2 (TWO) overnights per BSA Policy

Camp Don Harrington is open for both Scouting and some public use.  Overnight campers must be registered in the Boy Scouts of America as per our agreement with the Harrington Family.

Check In Procedure Back to Top

All visitors to camp must check-in with the Camp Ranger or designee at the front gate.

At registration for camp use, choose any 4 digit number that you wish and you can pass on that number to other members your group ahead of time so they can get access to the camp.  Be aware that until your key person making the reservation or designee checks-in with the Camp Ranger, the number will not be active.  The Ranger enters your code at that time and the number is removed upon your departure.

Check Out Procedure Back to Top

All groups must check-out with the Camp Ranger or designee unless other arrangements are made.  We will check for trash and damages to equipment, and any environmental damages that may have occurred.  If you have been allowed to have a campfire, please make sure it is completely extinguished before leaving the site.

Cancellation Policy Back to Top

If you cancel the use of camp where you have paid to use a facility or equipment, you must cancel within 3 business days or you will incur a cancellation fee of 25 percent of the total fees incurred. Ex:  You paid $50.00 to use the pool (10 people) and you cancel 2 days prior to the date you reserved, you will be charged $12.50 and refunded the remaining amount.

Cleaning Policy Back to Top

Please cleanup the area you used prior to departure.  You should always leave an area cleaner than you found it!  The Camp Ranger will notifiy the Council Office if your unit has not left the area at least how you found it and may cause future unit deposits or total ban from the camp.
