Camp MK Brown - Waterfront

The Waterfront, better known as the Lake, has many cool features.  Swimming, Boating, and Fishing all takes place here.  There is a shower and bathroom along with changing rooms.

For all unit swims, there must be at least one adult over 21 years old in charge and have completed Safe Swim Defense Training (my.scouting.org) and will assign 2 rescue personnel with additional numbers to maintain a ratio of one rescuer to every 10 participants. Everyone must have a Swim Test OR will be considered non-swimmer.  Non-swimmers must remain in the non-swimmer area.

Be prepared to show Safe Swim Defense Certification to the Camp Ranger at check-in. The facility cannot be used until an adult produces the required certification.

 

 

 

Nonswimmers are not allowed at the lake. Sitting on the dock or putting feet in the water is not allowed.  No lifeguards are provided. No equipment is provided.

Cub Scout Packs can only camp 2 (TWO) overnight per BSA Policy

Camp MK Brown is open to all Scouts, adults leaders and parents, and occasionally the general public.  

Check In Procedure Back to Top

Everyone needs to check-in at the gate with the Ranger.  He will direct you to your campsite or program area.  All vehicles must remain in the parking lot with the exception of unit trailers which, with permission from the Ranger, may remain at the assigned campsite.

Check Out Procedure Back to Top

All users must check-out with the Ranger before departing the camp.  He will check your areas used to ensure trash is removed and will note any damages.

Cancellation Policy Back to Top

If you cancel the use of camp where you have paid to use a facility or equipment, you must cancel within 3 business days or you will incur a cancellation fee of 25 percent of the total fees incurred. Ex:  You paid $50.00 to use the pool (10 people) and you cancel 2 days prior to the date you reserved, you will be charged $12.50 and refunded the remaining amount.  

Cleaning Policy Back to Top

Please cleanup the area you used prior to departure.  You should always leave an area cleaner than you found it!  The Camp Ranger will notifiy the Council Office if your unit has not left the area at least how you found it and may cause future unit deposits or total ban from the camp.
