Camp Use Policy Back to Top
  1. Reservations
    • Accepted on a first come, first-served basis.
    • All reservations must be pre-paid for any facilities used.
    • Reservations must be made 14 days prior to the date you would like to camp
  2. Liability Insurance:  Non-BSA groups must provide a certificate of liability insurance with policy limits of at least one million dollars ($1,000,000), naming the Great Rivers Council and the BSA as a co-insured.

  3. Hold-Harmless:  For non-Scout groups, I understand that participation in camping activities involve certain degrees of risk. I have carefully considered the risk involved and have given consent for myself and/or my child to participate in these activities. I understand that participation in these activities is entirely voluntary and requires participants to abide by applicable rules and standards of conduct. I release, hold harmless and agree to indemnify the Boy Scouts of America, the local council, the activity coordinators and all employees, volunteers, related parties or other organizations associated with the activity from any and all claims or liability arising out of this participation. I have required the participants in my group to agree to these standards as well.

  4. Prohibited at Camp: The following list includes other items prohibited at camp: fireworks; alcoholic beverages; narcotics; motorcycles; tobacco; personal firearms and ammunition. This list is not comprehensive. Please reference the Guide to Safe Scouting for other prohibited items. Campers found in violation of these rules may be asked to leave camp and no refund will be given.

  5. Motorized Vehicles:  All motorized vehicles must remain on designated camp roads, parking only in designated areas, and are subject to other restrictions due to season or activity.  Personal ATVs, golf carts, and motorized scooters are not permitted on camp property.

  6. Firewood:  To help prevent the spread of invasive species, specifically Emerald Ash Borer, outside firewood is not permitted at our camps.

  7. Damages and Clean-up:  The unit or group is responsible for all clean-up and damages. Repairs and necessary cleaning will be charged to the unit.

  8. Rangemaster If you are reserving any of the ranges you are REQUIRED  to have a certified reangemaster present at the event. Please conact the office if you need a list of Rangemasters. PLEASE ADD THE RANGEMASTER AS AN ADDITIONAL LEADER WHEN REGISTERING.

Cancellation Policy Back to Top

Facility reservation fees are final. Refunds may be granted only if a cancellation is requested. Individuals/Units/Groups that cancel their reservations 14 days or more prior to the arrival date will receive a refund of the total rental fee less a 25% administrative service charge. No refunds will be given for cancellations made less than 14 days prior to the arrival date. Any/all refund requests must be made within 7 days of the reservation date.

All units / groups / visitors are responsible for leaving all equipment and facilities in a clean and orderly condition. Failure to do so may result in additional charges, which must be paid within 30 days of the use date. Your group will be charged for damage to facilities.
