C.O.P.E.—Challenging Outdoor Personal Experiences—is a Scouting program that includes group initiative games, trust events, and challenges that reach from the ground to the sky. In a High C.O.P.E. session, the Scouts will be up in the air learning about communication, planning, teamwork, trust, leadership, decision making, problem solving, and self-esteem. The Scouts will learn the principle of “challenge by choice".
The High C.O.P.E course is booked per person in 3 hour blocks. The help foster the use of our facilties, units may be booked within the same time slot. Each unit is responsible for their own safety personel.
High C.O.P.E. is only allowed for Scouts BSA and older youth. The minimum recommended age for high C.O.P.E. is 13.
This reservation is for the location only and NOT staffing.
If your unit does not have trained leaders, please consider a camp activity day.
This activity requires at least one council approved climbing director (Level 2 or NCS) and one council approved instructor (Level 1). If your unit does not have these instructors, they may be available to hire at the rate of $125 per climbing director and $100 per climbing instructor. Please contact Christine Chansley at christine.chansley@scouting.org, 813-872-2691 to speak about booking instructors.
If you unit cannot procure council approved instructors within 10 days before the reservation then the reservation will be cancelled and you can have your funds refunded or put towards a later booking.
Equipment that is damaged outside of normal wear and tear will result in a replacement fee being assess to the unit.

Please check-in with the campmaster or ranger upon arrival. If your group is utilizing program facilities, please provide the appropriate credentials at that time.
Please check-out with the campmaster or ranger before leaving. Any damage to the facilities or extra required cleaning will be billed to your group.
The Greater Tampa Bay Area Council does NOT offer refunds on camping reservations.
In the event we issue a credit, that credit is valid for future camp reservations.
