Ledge Campground at Quivira Scout Ranch
There are 3 locations for camping within Ledge Campground. North, South and Primitive. Each location can be reserved separately or all together depending on the size of your unit. If you have questions about how your unit may be best served, please contact Ranger Paul (paul.king@scouting.org). All reservations are subject to final approval by Quivira Council staff.
CAMP HOURS:
Gates are open from 7:00am to 10:00pm Friday/Saturday and 7:00am to 2:00pm on Sunday. All unite events, including training courses must check in & out with Park Ranger
LEADERSHIP:
Two registered adult leaders are required at all times. Co-ed leadership is required for co-ed camping. Cub Scout camping is NOT allowed unless a BALOO trained leader is present at all times.
VEHICLES:
Obey the posted speed limit. Rangers are authorized to remove any speeders and off-road drivers from camp. BSA prohibits anyone from riding in the back of a pickup truck. Camp speed limits are 10mph in all camping areas.
PARKING:
Vehicles are prohibited from parking in campsites. Unit equipment trailers may be dropped off and parked in campsites but vehicles must be moved and parked in designated parking areas.
PROGRAM:
Units are responsible for the success of their weekend through advanced planning. Water activities must use BSA Safety Afloat guidelines. All program activities occurring outside of the reserved campsite need prior approval by council staff BEFORE a reservation is confirmed.
CONSERVATION:
Units are encouraged to complete a conservation project. Protect wildflowers and wildlife. Do not cut, blaze or trim live trees. Dead trees may be cut ONLY with permission from Park Ranger.
DO NOT BRING:
Alcoholic beverages, illegal substances, fireworks, dogs or pets of any kind, firewarms, ammunition or archery equipment.
HOUSEKEEPING:
General BSA camping rules apply. Please follow Leave No Trace camping rules wherever possible. Keep campsites net and clean. To prevent erosion damage, do not rake areas, clear underbrush, or otherwise alter the natural terrain. Leave ground, buildings and equipment in good condition. Do not bury trash
TRASH:
The camps do not have dumpsters available for weekend camping use. Units must pack out all trash and garbage for proper disposal. Do not push trash in latrines. Anyone dumping trash in latrines will lose camping privileges at Quivira Council camps.
RENTALS AND FEES:
Building and equipment fees must be reserved in advance. Fees for additional persons not on the original reservation need to be paid asap. Additional equipment can be rented only if it is available.
DAMAGE;
Damage to any property, equipment, boats, buildings, etc will be charged to the person or unit responsible.

Quivira Council property reservations that are cancelled prior to the reservation dates are subject to the Rules that follow:
25% non-refundable cancellation fee day of reservation (No Show)
10% non-refundable cancellation fee < 7 business days prior
If it becomes necessary to close a facility due to inclement weather, other emergency, or Council's discretion, you will be notified and be given the opportunity to reschedule. Do not assume that the Camp will be closed - contact the Quivira Council Service Center at 316-264-3386 ext 6 if in doubt.
