The Carruth Scout Preserve is located about 20 minutes from Baton Rouge on Rosdale road. It is a 99 acre tract of land perfect for a quick weekend get away . It has a large covered pavillion wiht lights and water. There are five main camping areas and plenty of room for exploring, yet close enough that a quick run to town is not a long ordeal.
Caruuth Scout preserve iis located at 3930 rosdale road. from interstate 10 take lobdell exit going north till you get to the light at Rosdale road. Take a left turn on rosedale and conitnue a mile an a half to the Caruuth entrance.located on the right.

Once you have reserved your weekend at Carruth you can contact Ranger E.J.Moore 225-933-1793 aad he can give you the details and informaton fo getting into carruth. Curently Carruth is a self checkin facility we ask that you keep the gate closed while on property and be sure to lock up and turn off wate as you depart.
Check out is done by calling or texting Ranger Moore 225-933-1793 letting him know you are off propery. Please be sure to lock the gate and turn off water when you depart.
