Jethro Trail Adirondacks – provides fantastic adirondacks and a great tenting experience in the woods for experienced campers, at a modest distance from the parking lot, while also having water and latrines very easily accessible.
Directions: To get to this site, take Monsen Trail to Jethro Trail. Site is a short hike up Jethro Trail on the left.

Jethro Trail Adirondacks offers two full-sized shelters plus an excellent remote wilderness experience in the woods.

Distance: 0.37 miles – carry in/carry out.
Capacity: The Jethro Trail Adirondacks have a capacity of 16 (8+8).
The terrain nearby the adirondacks is flat and can easily accommodate about a dozen scouts, but this site has much less capacity for tenting than that found at Peabody or Canopache.
Features: Jethro Trail Adirondacks has 2 picnic tables and log seating around a Fire Ring (with cooking grate).
Water/Latrines: Water and Latrines are very convenient. Nearest latrine is a very short walk up Jethro Trail. Nearest water pump is at the site itself.
Feel: The Jethro Trail Adirondacks have an outstanding wilderness feel.
Path: The path to this site is mostly moderately-sloped with some steep sections – making it very difficult to pull a cart of equipment. Backpacking is always encouraged at Nobscot!
