Nobscot Scout Reservation - Henderson Lodge 3

Description: Henderson Lodge’s bunk room sleeps 20 + a separate adult room for 4, furnace, electricity, kitchen, 2 bathrooms, 2 showers, meeting space with tables, chairs, whiteboard. Large outdoor Fire Pit.

Henderson Lodge is the closest cabin or lodge site at Nobscot to the parking lot.

Sleeps: 20+4

Layout/Adult Room: Large room for meeting space plus kitchen. Separate scout bunk room for 20. Separate adult room for 4. Two separate bathrooms w/ showers.

Audience: NICE for NOVICE Campers
-Very good small meeting space.
-Troops with very young or timid campers.
-Ideal for troops outside the council using Nobscot as inexpensive lodging for a Boston visit.

GPS Location & Distance: Henderson Lodge is at: 34749, -71.438
Distance: 128 feet. Handicapped access.

Tenting Capacity: On grass in front of cabin: 30+ scouts in tents

Modern amenities: electric lights, modern heat: furnace, running water, 2 bathrooms with showers, full kitchen, refrigerator, electric stove, small number of electric outlets.

Interior Features: Nicely finished (circa 1970) lodge with meetings space, large bunk room, separate adult room, kitchen, 2 full bathrooms.

Exterior Features: 1 picnic table, 1 Fire Pit, handicapped ramp.

Water/Latrines: Henderson is the only Nobscot cabin/lodge with full indoor plumbing.

Feel: Hendersen Lodge provides great access to Nobscot and the Boston area. It is immediately off the parking lot and adjacent to the woods. It does not provide a ‘wilderness’ experience.

Path: Henderson is at the parking lot, making it unnecessary to pull a cart of equipment. No backpacking required.

Directions: Drive to the Overnight parking lot. Henderson is right there.
