Feel: Pond View Lodge is one of the nicest cabins at Nobscot and is also one of the closest cabins to the parking lot. It is a large and very comfortable cabin with 8 bunk beds for 16 plus a separate adult room with sleeping for 2. Wood stove, fireplace. This lodge has more amenities than you will find in a cabin. Electric lights, food prep area with 3-burner propane indoor stove (propane not supplied). Right off the porch is Nupp’se Pond, an attractive, but shallow, mucky kettle pond, containing water for part of the year. Latrines and water are very close. Pond View is one of only a few Nobscot cabins with electric lights. This is an excellent lodge.

Path: The trail to Pond View Lodge is a moderate hike from the parking lot over slightly sloped terrain making it not difficult to pull a cart of equipment.
Backpacking is always encouraged at Nobscot!

Directions: To get to Pond View Lodge take Belden’s Way to Pond Trail. At the end of Pond Trail, take a left on Gen. John Nixon Trail. Pond View Lodge is a few hundred yards up the trail on your right, just before the intersection with Thirty Rod Trail. Nupp’se pond is a “kettle pond” and is dry for parts of the year.
