Path: The trail to Haynes Lodge travels over hilly terrain, making it very challenging if pulling a large cart of equipment.
Backpacking is always encouraged at Nobscot!

Directions: To get to Haynes Lodge 12 (29), take Belden’s Way to Pond Trail. At the end of Pond Trail, take a left on Gen. John Nixon Trail. When you get to the latrine at Pond View cabin, a path straight ahead up the hill will take you directly to Haynes. If pulling a garden cart, take a right at the latrine onto Thirty Rod Trail. You will notice two small trails on your left heading up to Haynes. The one opposite McKenna Pavilion is the least steep.

When absolutely necessary, a garden cart could be used via Pond Trail to Gen. John Nixon Trail to Thirty Rod. If you do, please return the cart quickly to the shed for others to use. Don’t try to pull a cart up Legion Trail.
