Legion has a large curtain to allow for a separate adult sleeping area. The area immediately around Legion Lodge is suitable for limited tenting for about a dozen scouts.
Path: The direct trail to Legion Lodge is up the steeply-sloped Legion Trail. The long way (via Pond Trail) is more moderately-sloped, making it possible, but unpleasant to pull a garden cart of equipment to Legion Lodge.
Backpacking is always encouraged at Nobscot!
Directions: To get to Legion Lodge, take Belden’s Way to Legion Trail. At the end of Legion Trail, Legion Lodge is the very large lodge on your right. With young scouts, consider the longer, less-steep Pond Trail route.
Legion Trail is not a suitable path for a garden cart. When absolutely necessary, a garden cart could be pulled up the long way via Pond Trail then to Gen. John Nixon Trail to Legion. If you do, please return the cart quickly to the shed for others to use.
