Description:  Cabin 13 (26) is a rustic cabin with an indoor wood stove, fireplace and a covered porch. No electricity.
Cabin 13 (26) is one of the farthest cabin sites at Nobscot from the parking lot.

Layout/Adult Room:
Large sleeping room with wood stove and fireplace. Separate adult room. Covered porch.

Audience: ADVENTURES for ADVANCED Scouts
Highly experienced Scouts and troops who are seeking a remote and rustic experience. Cabin complemented by good tenting around cabin and excellent tenting within 100-200 yards.

GPS Location & Distance: Cabin 13 (26) is at: 35232, -71.44441
Distance: 0.54 miles – carry in/carry out via route through woods by Haynes Lodge.

Tenting Capacity: Surrounding cabin: 8-12 scouts in tents.
Up to 100-200 yds remote from cabin: 30-60+ scouts in multiple areas for fantastic tenting.

Modern amenities: no electricity, no water, no indoor plumbing,

Interior Features: Rustic cabin with woodstove, fireplace, bunks with mattresses, rustic sink area (no water).

Exterior Features: 1 picnic table, 1 Fire pit, covered porch.

Water/Latrines: Cabin 13 (26) is not very convenient to either latrines or water. Nearest latrine is by Pond View Lodge. Nearest water pump is at Legion Lodge.

Feel: Cabin 13 (26) is a rustic cabin in a remote area with tenting immediately outside the cabin plus a wonderful surrounding wooded areas for tenting. The distance and elevation make it suitable for experienced scouts. Cabin 13 (26) has a covered porch with a large, locked storage container.
The separate kitchen area has a rustic sink (no water).

Path: The best route to Cabin 13 (26) travels through the woods and over some difficult terrain, making it impractical to pull a cart of equipment.
Backpacking is always encouraged at Nobscot!

Directions: To get to Cabin 13 (26), take Belden’s Way to Pond Trail. At the end of Pond Trail, take a left on Gen. John Nixon Trail. When you get to the latrine at Pond View cabin, a path straight ahead up the hill will take you by Haynes Lodge. Pass Haynes on your right and continue through the woods for about 200-300 yards until your see Cabin 13 (26).

You could pull a garden cart up to Pond View Lodge and then portage your equipment through the woods to Cabin 13 (26). If you do, please return the cart quickly to the shed for others to use.
