Check-In Instruction Sheet:
New gate code! See #5 below.

  1. Bring your own paper products for the latrines. Do Not Put anything but human waste and toilet paper in latrines!!!  NO wet wipes or feminine products. You will be billed for the removal of non-latrines items.
  2. Do not bring any firewood to camp. Corp of Engineers has a strict policy of outside wood brought into their property.  (We lease Camp Campbell from the Army Corp of Engineers.) There are plenty of cut/stacked wood and downed trees on the property that can be used.
  3. If you are bringing any watercrafts (canoes, etc.) to camp, they must be thoroughly cleaned before you bring them to Kerr Lake. (Invasive mussels.) You should also clean them after you remove them from the lake.
  4. When the water level is high you will need to use Epps Fork Rd to access Mill Creek Rd. (See map.)
  5. Gate lock code is 1970. Keep gate closed and locked while in camp. We have gotten unauthorized visitors when the gate is left open.
  6. The water system can be activated by turning on the switch on the outside of the Block House building. There is a sign that reads “WATER” above the box that has switch inside. Please do not go in the block house and turn the valves on/off!! It takes about 10 minutes to build up water pressure.
  7. If you want to use the Block House, you will need to make the reservation and get the code.
  8. Campfires must remain in campfire rings. Do not create a new campfire ring.
  9. Overnight camping only in designated campsites that you have reserved.
  10. Be courteous to other campers. Always practice the Scout Oath and Law.

Any problems or concerns, please call Terry McIntire 910-824-6201. (It’s also on the front gate) or Robin Covert 919-274-7190. Steve Sievert 919-482-4597 or Jim Crawford 919-349-2429.

Check Out Instruction Sheet

  1. Campfires must be extinguished. Unused firewood neatly stacked.
  2. Remove all paper products from the latrines. You can put extra toilet paper in the metal cans located in the new vault toilets. (If left out, mice will tear them up and make a mess.)
  3. If you are using one of the new vault toilet privies, please clean the risers and concrete floor before leaving. The privies have been placed next to water hydrates for easy cleaning. Please use the water hose on the side of the vault toilets to clean. (Do not put water into the tanks!)
  4. Please make sure all trash is out of your campsite before you leave. The county has removed the dumpsters so you will need to take trash home with you. The latrines are not trash containers!! You will be billed for removal of any trash items.
  5. Turn the switch for the water off. The switch is located on the outside of the Block House building in the box below the sign that says “Water”. Please coordinate with other campers about who will turn off the water.
  6. Lock the entry gate and make sure code is not showing on tumbler. Lock the gate, even if other campers are in the camp.

Please let the Camp Campbell Property Committee know of any maintenance that needs our attention. (robincovert-scouts@att.net 919-274-7190).
