Camp Bucoco - Preston Center

The crown jewel facility of Moraine Trails Council is the Preston Center. The Preston Center is ideal for corporate meetings/trainings, church retreats, school fundraisers & classes, and weddings to name a few. The Preston Center has a large conference room that accommodates 125 to 150 people, included in this room is audio visual equipment, a projector screen, and tables & chairs for your use. There is a large entry hall that has been used for wedding ceremonies and fund raisers in the past which overlooks the beautiful natural scenery of Camp Bucoco.

The center also features three smaller classrooms that could be used for breakout session for groups. Inside also features a kitchenette for your use and three dorm style sleeping rooms that accommodate two people for a total of six.

The facility includes male and female restrooms and two unisex bathrooms that feature showers for overnight use. Amenities of the building include WI-FI and heat & air conditioning. The Preston Center is a beautiful building surrounded by natural rustic charm. If you would like to schedule a tour of this building please get in contact with the Camp Ranger.

B.S.A. Use:

All building rentals are required to have a security deposit in the form of a check upon check in with Ranger or Campmaster. $100 is required per building. Campsites and Moraine Trails Council Units do not require security deposits.

If damage has been made to the facility and/or improper cleanup of rental, the check will be held & cashed to offset costs of repairs or clean up. If check out is not performed before noon of check out date, the security deposit will be forfeited. Moraine Trails Council will not be able to accommodate reservations with less than one week’s notice prior to the date requested.

 

Non-Scouting Use:

Certificate of Insurance naming Moraine Trails Council B.S.A. as additional insured is required for rental, the amount of liability insurance needs to be a minimum of 1 million dollars. Insurance policy needs to be turned within 30 days of rental for weddings and 14 days for all other rentals.

A hold harmless agreement is required 14 days prior to reservation date.

Check In Procedure Back to Top
  1. Immediately upon entering camp property, stop in to see the Campmaster or Camp Ranger. At this time, you will be given any additional information concerning camp.
  2. Camp rules will be reviewed. Units/Renter must sign a copy of the camp rules showing they understand the rules and agree to follow them while on camp property. Non-Scout use must sign hold harmless agreement.
  3. A check written out to Moraine Trails Council will be collected upon arrival as a security deposit. The check total is $100.00 for all building rentals for scout use, a $250.00 for Non-Scout use and $500.00 for wedding packages.
Check Out Procedure Back to Top
  1. Buildings and/or sites are to be cleaned before the unit/group checks out.
  2. Camper’s will replenish the twelve (12) hour supply of wood, suitable for starting a fire. (For wood stove heated cabins only)
  3. Dispose of all trash properly. Trash is to be taken from the camp or removed to the dumpster on site.
  4. The Campmaster or Camp Ranger will check out your cabin or site before you leave.
  5. Upon satisfactory checkout the security deposit will be returned to the unit leader or renter.
Cancellation Policy Back to Top

Policy:

Cancellation requests after the event, for no-shows, or after refund deadlines will not be considered. If Moraine Trails Council has to cancel your event for any reason you will receive a full refund without being charged a cancellation fee.

 

Entire Camp Packages:

Cancellation must be made 1 month (30 days) in advance of rental date for refund minus a 5% cancellation fee. 

 

Wedding Packages:

Cancellation must be made 2 months (60 days) in advance of rental date for refund minus a 5% cancellation fee.

 

All other rentals:

Cancellation must be made two weeks (14 days) in advance of rental date for refund minus a 5% cancellation fee or transfer.
