Camp Bucoco is located along the Slippery Rock Creek in Slippery Rock Township in Butler County, Pennsylvania about 2 miles from Slippery Rock University. Camp Bucoco serves as the Council Boy Scout resident camp during the summer. Camp Bucoco sits on 260 acres, and includes 8 camp sites, 3 rustic cabins for short term rentals, a dining hall suitable for up to 200 guests, the recently renovated McCutcheon Leadership Lodge and the Preston Environmental Center.
**Non-Scouting groups including entire camp rentals and weddings must contact the Ranger at 724-556-9939 or matthew.lewis@scouting to rent camp facilities. Weddings and entire camp rentals require a tour before renting facilities. **

Scouting America Use:
All building rentals are required to have a security deposit in the form of a check upon check-in with Campmaster/Ranger. $100 is required per building. Campsites do not require security deposits.
If rental is not clean and/or adequate supply of firewood restocked at cabin, the security deposit is forfeited for the $100 maintenance fee. If check-out is not performed before 11:45am of check-out date, the security deposit will be forfeited.
Moraine Trails Council will not be able to accommodate reservations with less than one week’s notice prior to the date requested.
Non-Scouting Use:
Certificate of Insurance naming Moraine Trails Council B.S.A. as additional insured is required for rental, the amount of liability insurance needs to be a minimum of 1 million dollars. The insurance policy needs to be turned within 30 days of rental for weddings and 14 days for all other rentals.
A hold harmless agreement is required 14 days prior to reservation date.
All rentals are required to have a security deposit in the form of a check upon check-in with Campmaster/Ranger. For the wedding package and entire camp rentals, a $500.00 check is required. A $250.00 check is required for all other rentals.
If damage has been made to the facility and/or improper cleanup of rental, the check will be held & cashed to offset costs of repairs or clean up. If check out is not performed before 11:45am of check out date, the security deposit will be forfeited.

Upon arrival, check-in with Campmaster/Ranger at Health Lodge.

A unit roster must be turned into the Campmaster/Ranger at check-in. The Scoutmaster must have a copy of the unit roster. Non-scout use does not require a roster.

Camp rules will be reviewed. Units/Renter must sign a copy of the camp rules showing they understand the rules and agree to follow them while on camp property. Non-Scout use must sign hold harmless agreement.

A check written out to Moraine Trails Council will be collected upon arrival as a security deposit. The check total is $100.00 for all building rentals for scout use, a $250.00 for Non-Scout use and $500.00 for wedding and entire camp packages. A security deposit is not required for campsites.

Buildings and/or sites are to be cleaned before the unit/group checks out,

Allow wood stoves to burn out completely. Do NOT remove ashes. Wood stoves will be cleaned out by the Ranger after departure.

Floors must be swept prior to checking out.

All garbage is to be taken to the brown dumpster at the Dining Hall prior to check-out.

Any damage to facilities will be charged accordingly.

Policy:
Cancellation requests after the event, for no-shows, or after refund deadlines will not be considered. If Moraine Trails Council has to cancel your event for any reason you will receive a full refund without being charged a cancellation fee.
Entire Camp Packages:
Cancellation must be made 60 days in advance of rental date for refund minus a 15% cancellation fee.
Wedding Packages:
Cancellation must be made 60 days in advance of rental date for refund minus a 15% cancellation fee.
All other rentals:
Cancellation must be made 14 days in advance of rental date for refund minus a 15% cancellation fee or transfer.
Upon check-out if rental is not cleaned properly or following check-out procedures the security deposit will be forfeited. Please refer to the Rules & Regulations and Camp Use Policy.
