Mobile archery ranges are available for unit recruitment events. To see availability and book a range, choose the group type "Unit Recruitment Event."
Mobile archery is a fun and friendly way to introduce new families and kids to the fun of Cub Scouting! Each reservable set consists of an inflatable target / backstop, bows, foam-tipped arrows, and an optional pop-up tent canopy.
At least 1 Adult needs to Range Safety Officer certified. 2 adults are required to operate the range, as is a power source for the blower.

Mobile archery ranges may only be picked up and dropped off on weekdays during the designated times
For weekend reservations, the equipment must be picked up on Friday between 12:00 and 4:00PM and returned the following Monday between 8:00 and 11:00AM.
For reservations that occur during the week, equipment must be picked up between 12:00 and 4:00PM and returned between 8:00 and 11:00AM the day following your event.
Scouting reservations that are for recruitment purposes must also be approved by a council executive from your district, otherwise they are considered a non-recruitment event.
At least one adult who has reviewed the mobile archery rangemaster training instructions must always be present when the equipment is in use. Mobile Archery Rangemaster Training can be found here.
All items that are checked out with the mobile archery range should be returned how they came. Please use the inventory sheets and set up/take down instructions provided to ensure that everything is accounted for and returned properly. Please report any missing or damaged items when returning the range to Waterbury Service Center.
Mobile archery equipment is available for pickup between the hours of 10:00 and 4:00PM on weekdays only. For weekend reservations the equipment must be picked up on Friday.
The equipment is located at the Waterbury Service Center at 838 US Route 2, Moretown, VT.
All components for the range are stored in three separate cases:
A rolling duffel bag with the inflatable piece, ground tarp, and blower (40”x20”x20”/60lbs)
A hard-plastic rolling tote containing all other archery accessories (40”x20”x20”/35lbs)
It is important that the person picking up and returning the equipment has a vehicle large enough to transport all items listed above that are required for each archery range (for example, a truck, SUV, or van). In addition, the person must be physically able to move the items to and from the building, as it is not guaranteed there will extra support onsite to assist.
If you have questions, please contact our office at (802) 244-5189
Equipment is due back to the Waterbury Service Center between 10:00 and 4:00PM on Monday for weekend reservations, and the day after your event for reservations that occur during the week. The person reserving the range is responsible for reporting any equipment that is missing or in need of repair, so these can be addressed before the next reservation.
Again, it is important the person returning the equipment is physically able to move the items from their vehicle and into the building, as it is not guaranteed there will extra support onsite to assist.
Green Mountain Council property reservations that are cancelled in advance of 14 days prior to the reservation are transferable; otherwise you will receive a refund, minus a $50 cancellation fee, or the reservation fee, whichever is less. If the reservation is cancelled within 14 days, no refund is given, but the reservation is transferable to another rental period within the calendar year.
All items must be left in as good if not better then when found. If items are not cleaned you will be assessed a cleaning fee.
