Camp Mooney is located southwest of Roseburg, off OR 42 between Tenmile and Camas Valley. The camp is approximately 570 acres straddling Suicide Creek. The camp has flush toilets and running water available seasonally, a picnic shelter with a fireplace, Adirondack cabin campsites with outhouse-style KYBOs, and plenty of room to pitch tents of any size. The size of the camp lends itself well to large group events, such as the Council’s Rendezvous, which takes place each Spring.

Pacific Crest Council welcomes your Scouting group to Camp Mooney. Please help take care of the camp by following a few guidelines. All Scouting units must have 2 deep leadership who are registered with Scouting America and meet current youth protection policies. This property is managed by a team of foresters and volunteers. Leave no trace. Leave it better than you found it. Do not cut any tree or sapling. Remove all pioneering projects when finished. Do not build any structures. Pack out trash. Please remind Scouts not to throw trash in the latrines. Do not build new trails. Make sure campfires are completely out. Lock the gate upon departure. Please use fire rings. Do not cut any tree or sapling. Please report any damage you discover. Take a picture and send it to office@otcbsa.org. Inspect campsites and cabins before departure. There is no power or water at camp. Bring drinking water. If your unit is interested in a project, please contact the council service center for ideas.
1-2 days prior to your trip, please obtain the gate code from the council service center. A $10 deposit is required to check out physical keys. Locks change, so please do not assume you have the current code or key for any Council Property. Keys must be returned no later than 2 days after camping.

A campsite deposit is required with this reservation; this is NOT applied to your unit's total camp fee and is refundable within 30 days after the camp use report has been turned into the Central Point office.
If the camp-out is canceled, the campsite deposit will not be refunded, regardless of the cancellation date.
No site will be held without a deposit.
Camp and event fees are fully refundable 30 days or more before the event. Before 14 days, 50% is refundable per participant. Within 14 days, no refunds are available. Serious extenuating circumstances may be considered.
Please note, Council Events take priority over all reservations. Should your reservation be canceled by the Council, and you can not reschedule your campsite deposit and camp/event fees will be refunded in full within 2 weeks.
Groups should practice Leave No Trace camping. Any damage to buildings or campsites (including the discharge of fire extinguishers) is the responsibility of the user and will be billed accordingly. Should a campsite be left damaged, littered with garbage and/or debris or use of alcohol, tobacco, or drugs be found the campsite deposit will not be refunded and the group leader will be contacted by our Scout Executive Dave Jarvis; with the potential to lose access to all Pacific Crest Council camp properties.
