Pacific Crest Council welcomes your Scouting group to Weyerhaeuser Woods. Please help take care of the camp by following a few guidelines. All units must have 2 deep leaders who are registered with Scouting America and meet current youth protection policies. One Kybo is available. There is one fire ring. Bring your own firewood. No fires during dry summer months. Leave no trace. Use caution if the ground is wet and soggy, as this may limit vehicles and trailers. Don’t get stuck. Limit parking on the main road. Do not drive to the back of the property. If you need help or have additional questions, the volunteer caretaker for Weyerhaeuser Woods is Eugene Reynolds 541-954-6777.
This property is managed by a team of foresters and volunteers. Leave no trace. Leave it better than you found it. Do not cut any tree or sapling. Remove all pioneering projects when finished. Do not build any structures. Pack out trash. Please remind Scouts not to throw trash in the latrines. Do not build new trails. Make sure campfires are completely out. Lock the gate upon departure. Please use fire rings. Do not cut any tree or sapling. Please report any damage you discover. Take a picture and send it to office@otcbsa.org. Inspect campsites and cabins before departure. No alcohol is allowed. There is no power or water at camp. Bring drinking water. If your unit is interested in a project, please contact the council service center for ideas.
1-2 days prior to your trip, please obtain the gate key from the Eugene council service center. A $10 deposit is required to check out keys. Locks change, so please do not assume you have the current code or key for any Council Property. Keys must be returned no later than 2 days after camping. To enter Weyerhaeuser Woods look under the gatehouse to find which is the Scout lock, pull the gate pin, and lock the gate behind yourself.

A campsite deposit is required with this reservation; this is NOT applied to your unit's total camp fee and is refundable within 30 days after the camp use report has been turned into the Central Point office.
If the camp-out is canceled, the campsite deposit will not be refunded, regardless of the cancellation date.
No site will be held without a deposit.
Camp and event fees are fully refundable 30 days or more before the event. Before 14 days, 50% is refundable per participant. Within 14 days, no refunds are available. Serious extenuating circumstances may be considered.
Please note, Council Events take priority over all reservations. Should your reservation be canceled by the Council, and you can not reschedule your campsite deposit and camp/event fees will be refunded in full within 2 weeks.
Groups should practice Leave No Trace camping. Any damage to buildings or campsites (including the discharge of fire extinguishers) is the responsibility of the user and will be billed accordingly. Should a campsite be left damaged, littered with garbage and/or debris or use of alcohol, tobacco, or drugs be found the campsite deposit will not be refunded and the group leader will be contacted by our Scout Executive Dave Jarvis; with the potential to lose access to all Pacific Crest Council camp properties.
