Camp Use Policy Back to Top

Pacific Crest Council welcomes your Scouting group to Camp Melakwa. Please help take care of the camp by following a few guidelines. All Scouting units must have 2 deep leaders who are registered with Scouting America and meet current youth protection policies. This property is managed by a team of foresters and volunteers. Leave no trace. Leave it better than you found it. Do not cut any tree or sapling, Camp Melakwa is on Forest Service land. It is against federal law to cut down a tree without a permit. Remove all pioneering projects when finished. Do not build any structures. Pack out trash. Please remind Scouts not to throw trash in the latrines. Do not build new trails. Make sure campfires are completely out. Please use fire rings. There is no power or water at camp (other than the creek). Bring drinking water. Service Projects – If your unit is interested in a project, please contact the council service center for ideas.
