Foster Acres is located on the northern edge of Ottumwa. The grounds boast of amenities such as an open shelter building, 4-season Strother Lodge, primitive campsites, and a trail system wandering back into the forested grounds outside of the Indian Hills Community College Campus. Explore the trails, find the Lightning Tree, hold a training, pitch a tent, and hang out for a weekend. The Lodge and campsites are available year round. Come visit us!

In order to gain access you must arrange to pick up a key with the Mid-Iowa Council Office.
Please clean up after yourself, leaving the property better than you found it.
Promptly return the key.
Reservations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Cancellations will be accepted two (2) weeks prior to the reserved use date.
