Camp Melita Island on beautiful Flathead Lake is a Scouting paradise! Accessible only by boat, the 60 acre island is for the exclusive use of Boy Scouts of America members and units. Camping rentals are available May-June and August-September. Some earlier or later dates may be available upon request, weather dependent.
Bring your own tents or use ours! We also have our lodge and kitchen available for units to rent. Note: a $100 boat shuttle fee is charged for all rentals, regardless of one or two-night use.
Shuttle times must be arranged prior to arrival with the Camp Ranger, Duane. His phone number will be included in your reservation confirmation email.
Plan to arrive and park at Melita Island Gateway, 34490 US Hwy 93, Big Arm, MT.
Please unload vehicles near the dock and then park in the central parking areas.

LEADERSHIP
All Scouting units must follow BSA Youth Protection standards at all times while participating in Scouting events.
BUDDY SYSTEM
The buddy system is in effect at all times while participating in Scouting.
CAMPFIRE SAFETY
Fire is one of the greatest hazards in camp. NO FLAMES IN TENTS
Build fires only in established fire rings and put out all fires with water, being sure they are "cold out". Fires must be attended at all times. Check with the Camp Ranger to find out about any local fire restrictions.
Use only dead wood for fire. Do not cut down any trees.
GARBAGE AND TRASH REMOVAL
All trash and garbage must be disposed of in proper dumpsters or trash bins.
ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES
Alcoholic beverages are not allowed on council properties. Violators will be asked to leave.
FIREWORKS
Fireworks are not allowed on council properties. Violators will be asked to leave.
FIREARMS/WEAPONS
No personal firearms or weapons are allowed on council properties. Violators will be asked to leave.
FISHING
All fishing must be done in accordance with the current regulations of Montana Fish and Game. Licenses are required.
DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT
Campsites and equipment used by a unit will be inspected by the Unit Leader and Camp Ranger, before and after being occupied or used. Any damages that occur are to be paid for when checking out. This includes defacing equipment and buildings with name, unit numbers, initials, etc.
