Roosevelt Scout Reservation

Camp Roosevelt is located in the woods and fields of beautiful central Salem County farmland. Scouts have been camping year round at Roosevelt for over 90 years. Here, Scouts can enjoy such programs as boating, rifle/shotgun/archery ranges, and much more while camping for a weekend with their unit!

Roosevelt offers a variety of camping options from lodges to tent sites to lean-tos. Camping is available year round and every site has access to potable water and within walking distance to a central bathhouse. Basketball court, volleyball court and gaga pit on premises. Nearby attractions include the Cowtown Rodeo, Fort Mott State Park, and Wildwood's famous Morey's Piers.

Camp Use Policy Back to Top

Information and Procedures for your stay,

Vehicles and Trailers: Each campsite is authorized to host a unit’s trailer during the weekend of your stay. However, all vehicles must remain in either of our parking lots. Any unit wishing to park a car in their campsite for the health reasons of a troop member must ask for a medical authorization pass from the Campmaster on duty. During arrival you may use one vehicle to move personal gear from the parking lots to your campsites. Note: Any vehicle moving through camp at anytime must have hazards on.

Trash and Trash Bag Disposal: Each unit is responsible for their own trash and trash bags. For disposal of trash either during or at the end of your stay please dispose in the dumpster located near the front of our entrance. This dumpster has been noted on your map.

Water Access: Each campsite is fitted with a faucet for easy access to water. However, during our winter months campsite water is turned off and units must rely on our three frost free water pumps located throughout camp. These points are noted on your map.

Hazardous Weather and Fire Safety: In the case of hazardous and unsafe weather, the Campmaster will contact units and have them moved to a safe location with hard cover. If at anytime there appears to be a fire safety concern on camp property an alarm in camp will sound. In the event that this alarm sounds all units are to report to the Campfire circle immediately for safety and to make sure each camper is accounted for.

Smoke and Drug Free Camp: Camp Roosevelt is a smoke and drug free camp and this is strictly enforced. Units found in violation of this policy will be asked to leave camp.
