It’s time to put more OUTING in your Scouting!

The State of New Jersey has allowed youth camps to reopen for overnight adventures and the Garden State Council is excited to work with you to ensure our youth members get outside and camping again.

The Garden State Council has put in place the following safety guidelines, for all Council properties, with New Jersey’s most recent COVID-19 regulations on indoor and outdoor gatherings:

Safety remains our top priority and we will need to work together to ensure state guidelines are met.

All campers and program attendees will be tested for fever and other signs of COVID-19 illness upon entry.

-Anyone feeling sick is to same home.

-Social distancing and masks are required

-Units that attend camp are to remain together during their stay as a cohort.

-Programming will be unit/patrol/den based.

-Cooking/eating is unit/patrol/den based in assigned locations.

-All groups must provide their own hand sanitizer and/or disinfectant wipes.

- Please use contactless pay options through our reservation system or refer to the Council Service Center for additional payment options. Payment will not be accepted at camp.

-All outdoor gatherings must be limited to a maximum of 200 people. All group members must maintain a social distancing requirement of six feet, excluding family   members or caretakers. Contact and sharing of any physical items or food between group members is prohibited. All attendees must wear masks, covering their mouth and nose, at all times. While more than one group may be on the property at a given time, significant space between groups must be observed.

-All indoor gatherings must be limited to a maximum of 10 people. Currently, we are not accepting overnight reservations for cabins.

Rangers, campmasters and staff will enforce these guidelines. Please read and distribute the Garden State Council’s COVID Participant Liability Waiver to all attendees of your event prior to arrival. A roster of all Leaders, Scouts and Non-Scout attendees is required at check in.

Please reach out to Laurie.shand@gardenstatescouting.org to reserve tent camping supported by the Council Program Fee.
