Base Camp - TeamBuilding Center

Mobile archery ranges are available for unit recruitment events. To see availability and book a range, choose the group type "Unit Recruitment Event."

Mobile archery is a fun and friendly way to introduce new families and kids to the fun of Cub Scouting!  Each reservable set consists of an inflatable target / backstop, bows, foam-tipped arrows, and an optional pop-up tent canopy.

At least 3 adults are required to operate the range, as is a power source for the blower.

Ranges come packaged in 4 parts: a large canvas gear bag for the inflatable backstop, a large tote for the arrows, bows, blower and equipment, a pop-up tent canopy and a collapsible cart for transport.

Check In Procedure Back to Top

Mobile archery equipment is available for pickup between the hours of 12:00 and 4:00PM on weekdays only. For weekend reservations the equipment must be picked up on Friday.

The equipment is located at Base Camp, located at 6202 Bloomington Road, Fort Snelling, MN 55111. When you arrive, you may proceed into the Customer Service office just inside the main entrance to check out the equipment from one of our representatives.

All components for the range are stored in three separate cases:

A rolling duffel bag with the inflatable piece, ground tarp, and blower (40”x20”x20”/60lbs)
A hard-plastic rolling tote containing all other archery accessories (40”x20”x20”/35lbs)
And a rolling bag with the accompanying pop-up tent (78”x13”x13”/35lbs).

It is important that the person picking up and returning the equipment has a vehicle large enough to transport all items listed above that are required for each archery range (for example, a truck, SUV, or van). In addition, the person must be physically able to move the items to and from the building, as it is not guaranteed there will extra support onsite to assist.

If you have questions, please contact our customer service team at 612-261-2301.

Check Out Procedure Back to Top

Equipment is due back to Base Camp between 8:00 and 11:00AM on Monday for weekend reservations, and the day after your event for reservations that occur during the week. The person reserving the range is responsible for reporting any equipment that is missing or in need of repair, so these can be addressed before the next reservation.

Again, it is important the person returning the equipment is physically able to move the items from their vehicle and into the building, as it is not guaranteed there will extra support onsite to assist.
