For weekend reservations, the equipment must be picked up on Friday between 12:00 and 4:00PM and returned the following Monday between 8:00 and 11:00AM.
For reservations that occur during the week, equipment must be picked up between 12:00 and 4:00PM the day before your event and returned between 8:00 and 11:00AM the day following your event.

Fees for reserving the equipment are based on the event and user type. They are a flat rate, and are as follows:

Scouting, non-recruitment, $25.00
Non-scout group, $50.00

Scouting reservations that are for recruitment purposes must also be approved by a council executive from your district, otherwise they are considered a non-recruitment event.
At least one adult who has reviewed the mobile archery rangemaster training instructions must always be present when the equipment is in use. Mobile Archery Rangemaster Training can be found at the following location: http://www.northernstar.org/Portals/2/Documents/Mobile-Archery-Safety-Officer-Training.pdf
All items that are checked out with the mobile archery range should be returned how they came. Please use the inventory sheets and set up/take down instructions provided to ensure that everything is accounted for and returned properly.  Please report any missing or damaged items when returning the range to Base Camp.

Check In Procedure Back to Top

Mobile archery equipment is available for pickup between the hours of 12:00 and 4:00PM on weekdays only. For weekend reservations the equipment must be picked up on Friday, and reservations during the week must be picked up the day before your event.

The equipment is located at Base Camp’s TeamBuilding Center, located at 6201 Bloomington Road, Fort Snelling, MN 55111 (the historic brick building on the right side of our property). A map with directions can be found on our website: http://www.explorebasecamp.org/location. When you arrive, you may proceed into the Customer Service office just inside the main entrance to check out the equipment from one of our representatives.

All components for the range are stored in three separate cases:

A rolling duffel bag with the inflatable piece, ground tarp, and blower (40”x20”x20”/60lbs)
A hard-plastic rolling tote containing all other archery accessories (40”x20”x20”/35lbs)
And a rolling bag with the accompanying pop-up tent (78”x13”x13”/35lbs).

It is important that the person picking up and returning the equipment has a vehicle large enough to transport all items listed above that are required for each archery range (for example, a truck, SUV, or van). In addition, the person must be physically able to move the items to and from the building, as it is not guaranteed there will extra support onsite to assist.

If you have questions, please contact our customer service team at 612-261-2301.

Check Out Procedure Back to Top

Equipment is due back to Base Camp’s TeamBuilding Center between 8:00 and 11:00AM on Monday for weekend reservations, and the day after your event for reservations that occur during the week. The person reserving the range is responsible for reporting any equipment that is missing or in need of repair, so these can be addressed before the next reservation.

Again, it is important the person returning the equipment is physically able to move the items from their vehicle and into the building, as it is not guaranteed there will extra support onsite to assist.
