When making a reservation please select the group type “Scouting Family” if you are connected to a Scouting unit.  If you are new to Scouting or not part of Scouting, please select the group type “Non Scouting Group”.

We are extending this family campground opportunity to all families in the community as a way to introduce the benefits available when participating in a Scouting program.

With 1200 acres of open fields, miles of trails, shady forests and a meandering river to explore, Camp Stearns is an ideal spot for a family get-away!

Experience our newest family vacation opportunity where you can stay in a fully furnished yurt, cabin or in your own tent. Choose your length of stay and take full advantage of the properties self-serve amenities for activities like exploring, hiking, biking, boating, and swimming.

Directions to Camp
From High 55
Go west on Hwy 55 to South Haven. Take Hwy 2 north (right) through Fairhaven. Turn right on Co. Rd. 44. Follow Co. Rd. 44 to Stearns Scout Camp.
The camp gate will be on your right.
From Interstate 94
Take I-94 north to the Clearwater exit. At the Clearwater exit go left (south) on Hwy 24. Follow Hwy 24 to Co Rd 40. Turn right on Co Rd 40. Co Rd 40 become Co Rd 46, follow to Co Rd 44. Turn Left on Co. Rd. 44. Follow Co. Rd. 44 to Stearns Scout Camp.
The camp gate will be on your left.

Camp Policies:

I understand that I am responsible for ensuring all payments are made on time. I further understand that all campers must have a signed medical form and waiver with them. 

MINNESOTA LAW requires all campers to provide a current health history form upon arrival to camp. Youth forms must be signed by a parent or guardian. In order for a youth to shoot BB guns that portion of the Health form must also be signed. Health forms are available at either Scout Office or get one online at: www.goscouting.org/forms. Adults must have a completed health history form as well.

 

Check In Procedure Back to Top

Check in is from 3-5PM. Please call or text the Ranger when you have arrived at your facility to notify them of your arrival. If texting, please include your last name and cabin in the message. If you plan to arrive later than this time frame, please pre-arrange your arrival with the Ranger.

Check Out Procedure Back to Top

Must check out by 11AM. Please call or text the Ranger when you have departed. If texting, please include your last name and cabin in the message. Must leave cabin in same, clean condition as found.

Cancellation Policy Back to Top

For cancellations made more than 45 days in advance, a group can transfer building/site fees paid toward another date within one (1) year. Cancellations made less than 45 days in advance will result in loss of building/site fees paid.
