Yurts are round canvas structures with wood floors, doors, window panels and an operable skylight in the domed roof! This yurt sleeps 5 people.
Furniture: Yurts have a futon, side chair, side tables, small dining set and a twin over full size bunk bed.
Electricity: Yurts have electrical outlets and built in overhead lighting.
Cooking: Yurts include a small refrigerator, microwave and counter for food storage. We recommend keeping all food in secure scent-proof containers. No open flame cooking or candles are allowed inside of yurts. Crock pots and small appliances are acceptable. A picnic table and fire ring area for cooking is available outside.
Water/Bathrooms: Yurts do not have indoor plumbing but are located very close to a full-service shower house with flush toilets, hot water and showers. A spigot for water is located between each yurt site.
Yard: Yurts have a small deck as well as adjoining yard area with picnic table, fire ring and space for activities.
Internet: Camp wide WiFi is not available at this time. Verizon and Sprint are the strongest signals for cell coverage.

Camp Policies:
I understand that I am responsible for ensuring all payments are made on time. I further understand that all campers must have a signed medical form and waiver with them.
MINNESOTA LAW requires all campers to provide a current health history form upon arrival to camp. Youth forms must be signed by a parent or guardian. In order for a youth to shoot BB guns that portion of the Health form must also be signed. Health forms are available at either Scout Office or get one online at: www.goscouting.org/forms. Adults must have a completed health history form as well.
Check in is from 3-5PM. Please call or text the Ranger when you have arrived at your facility to notify them of your arrival. If texting, please include your last name and cabin in the message. If you plan to arrive later than this time frame, please pre-arrange your arrival with the Ranger.
Must check out by 11AM. Please call or text the Ranger when you have departed. If texting, please include your last name and cabin in the message. Must leave cabin in same, clean condition as found.
NEW Cancelation Policy: Facility Rental – effective 1/1/2025
-All facilities collect and retain a deposit* that is non-refundable and non-transferable.
-Requests for refunds/cancellations/rescheduling need to be made in writing (preferably via email).
-Cancellation Timeline:
- 30 days prior to arrival date = full refund less the deposit.
- 29 to 8 days prior to arrival date = full credit less the deposit.
- 7 days prior to arrival date = full forfeit of fees paid.
-Credits will be available for 365 days and can be used for any facility rental or program operated by the Northern Star Camping Department.
-Rescheduling requests without loss of deposit are allowed once per original reservation and may incur a rescheduling fee.
- The rescheduling fee is $25.00.
- Fees will be incurred when a change is requested less than 31 days prior to arrival date.
- Rescheduling requests received less than 24 hours in advance of scheduled arrival will not be honored.
*Facilities collecting the entire fee at time of registration will designate 35% of the fee to be the deposit (which is non-refundable and non-transferable).
