J. Warren Cutler Scout Reservation

In the rolling hills of Western New York's Finger Lakes Region, the J. Warren Cutler Scout Reservation (commonly known as Camp Cutler) stretches across more than 1400 acres of peaceful woods, lush meadows, and sparkling streams.

Camp Cutler hosts a variety of Scouting programs, including the premier Cub Scout Camping destination in upstate New York, Cub Scout Adventure Camp.

This 3-day, 2-night program fully immerses Cubs in a program built just for them. Youth can camp in one of our themed buildings - High Seas ships, an old West Fort, a Medieval Castle, a Mountain Man encampment, and a Native American Village -  partake in numerous one-in-a-kind activities provided by our staff, and explore a beautiful landscape as they begin a lifetime journey of wonder and discovery.

We have a range of facilities available year-round: from campsites with lean-tos to buildings with wood burning stoves, from training centers with all the necessary amenities to pirate ships.  The camp features a fishing lake, waterfront, archery range, sledding hill, orienteering courses, and an extensive system of hiking trails.

The adventure never ends at Camp Cutler!

Camp Use Policy Back to Top

The Scout oath and law should be followed when staying on Seneca Waterways Council camp properties.

Check In Procedure Back to Top

A representative from an arriving weekend camping group should stop in at Langie Lodge which is located on the right-hand side of the drive entering the camp.  Check-in is handled by the Camp master Corps. and they will give you the necessary forms and facility keys.  Groups will turn-in a unit roster of all persons staying at the camp.  Firewood which has been ordered will have been already delivered to the facility.

The camp masters hold a meeting with cracker barrel on the first night of camping.  This is usually held at 9 PM in the Langie Lodge conference room.  Troops are asked to discuss their camping plans and make any special requests.  Youth leaders are offered an opportunity to share.

Check Out Procedure Back to Top

Check out from camp is started by phoning the camp masters and requesting check out from camp.  The units are expected to leave the facilities clean and as described on the documents given at check-in.  The ranger and camp masters will visit, inspect the facilities, and lock up the cabin.

The future reservation must be booked within two weeks of the time of cancellation.

All cancellations and rebooking must be done by speaking with our Camping and Program support staff by calling 585-241-8545.

Cleaning Policy Back to Top

If excessive cleaning is required, the campmaster or ranger will communicate to your party prior to your departure. The group can remain on site and return the facility to a clean condition or the cleaning fee will be applied. If your group leaves prior to being checked out by the ranger or campmaster, a cleaning fee may be added if excessive cleaning is required. In Scouting, be sure to always leave your campround cleaner than how you found it.
